Rawson's farm on Sunderland Street run by staff…It was run by Betty Hill's brother Roger Rawson and he lived there. It was mainly dairy. Roger joined up early in WW2 and his wife Jessie ran the farm with the help of Roger's father. Jessie also helped the District Nurse and drove an ambulance. When Roger was demobbed he had a German POW to help. The POWs weren't interned. Roger's POW lived opposite the farm in the old half-timbered small disused farm house. He had his main meal with the family and got his own breakfast and tea.
